Images have been released by Sony recently highlighting the characters from their upcoming reboot of Ghostbusters, which are included below. There’s not a whole lot that can be taken away from these images yet. The costumes and proton packs all look a little different from the original films, but close enough that there’s no mistaking what they are.
Everything that we have seen so far from the movie looks promising, and I like most of the projects that director Paul Feig has been involved with in addition to loving the work of Kristen Wiig. I was always weary of a new movie being made in this series, regardless of whether it was a sequel featuring the original cast or a reboot featuring a fresh set of faces, but from what I have seen so far this version is being approached in the correct way. The movie will be released in the summer of 2016, so hopefully we will see a trailer or teaser before too long.
