HBTVS Video Blog: Wes Craven’s ‘New Nightmare’

All of us at House By The Video Store were huge fans of Wes Craven, and were very sad to hear that he had passed away. On recent podcasts we have discussed his work, and the movies that he has made throughout his career. In this video blog, Derek and I discuss Wes Craven’s 1994 film New Nightmare, as this movie didn’t get enough love at the time of its release, despite growing more of a following over time. It was a rather experimental film at the time of its release and was a sign of what was to come in the near future. What did we have to say about New Nightmare, the meta and self referential movie from Wes Craven that came 2 years before Scream?
