The X-Files Season 4, Episode 2: “Home”

Now that it has been officially announced by Fox that the X-Files will be returning for a limited run, it’s time to think about what you want from the series when it returns for six episodes in the near future. A good way to think about what you want from the new episodes is to re-watch some of the classic entries from the original series. When it comes to well known episodes, “Home” has to be at the top of the list.

“Home” was one of the more violent episodes of the series, and was closer in tone and execution to a horror film than almost any other story covered by the show. On top of being violent and creepy, this episode also had a number of themes running throughout that warrant further examination.
