The X-Files Season 3, Episode 20: “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space”

In this 30 second video I discuss my favorite episode of the X-Files, “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space.” This is another episode written by Darin Morgan, who also wrote “Humbug” and “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose.” Morgan has a knack for infusing humor into his episodes and defying expectations of what the show should be. This particular story presents a rather unusual alien abduction story.

The collection of characters and ideas in this episode merits multiple viewings, not to mention the puzzle like way in which the story unfolds. Multiple characters give their side of the story and since some of them are wackos, it’s hard to separate truth from fiction. At the end of the episode, you may find yourself thinking that you’re not quite sure what really happened. That’s the conclusion that the characters within the story came to as well.
