The Thing’ (1982) Directed by: John Carpenter

“Thousands of years ago it crashes, and this thing… gets thrown out, or crawls out, and it ends up freezing in the ice.”

If you’re having trouble getting ready for winter to arrive, along with the cold temperatures, what better way is there to prepare than to watch one of the best horror movies ever set in a snowy location? In this video, William reviews the 1982 John Carpenter classic The Thing. This movie was overlooked at the time of its release and seen as a failure but has grown a following over time, and critics have changed their tune and now celebrate the film. This movie is a perfect example of how to correctly handle a remake or at least an adaptation of material that has already been covered in an existing film.

Is this the best horror/sci-fi movie ever made? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
